First Alliance Church of Toronto has had a rich and godly heritage in Toronto since its beginning in 1893. We are a diverse multicultural and multigenerational church in the L’Amoreaux community of Scarborough, Ontario.
First Alliance Church is prayerfully seeking a Lead Pastor to lead us into the next chapter of our story. The Lead Pastor will be the vision cultivator and primary catalyst for FAC to pursue and bring to life what God wills for FAC.

- Relates openly and comfortably, shepherding diverse groups of people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures; demonstrates strong intercultural competence.
- Has a track record of developing and equipping others, enabling them to disciple and mentor others and empowering them to tap into their gifts and abilities.
- Compellingly communicates the vision of First Alliance in a manner that motivates others to action, working collaboratively with their team to meet shared objectives.
- Effectively leads change, courageously persevering with innovations that bring about breakthroughs in making the First Alliance vision a reality.
- Embodies an incarnational approach to the community, with a history of engaging missionally with those around them. A willingness to move to L’Amoreaux is an asset.
- Identifies and conveys biblical/theological messages that lead to life change within the diverse community.
Qualifications
- Licensed and ordained for ministry in the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada or will successfully complete the licensing process as a part of the application process.
- Affirms the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada’s vision, statement of faith, governance, and distinctives.
- Theological education at a master’s degree level from an ATS or ABHE accredited institution.
- Previous pastoral leadership experience.
